Closer to Curing HIV

Doctors announced that a second infant born HIV positive may be healed of the infection.  Shortly after birth, the baby was given three antiretroviral drugs.  After only eleven days of treatment, the virus was “undetectable in her body” and with continuing treatment remains so now nine months into the child’s life.
