The European Huns are one of the most important and enigmatic powers from history. The same Huns from which the famed Attila originated, and the same Huns who would prove so pivotal to the end of the Western Roman Empire.
Despite the Huns incredible importance, so little – even today – is known about them. We seek to shed further light on those who famously emerged from the Eurasian steppes. Are they – at least partially – the ancestoral relatives of the Xiongnu? What conclusions has modern genetics research uncovered in this search? The Huns leave a littany of unanswered questions for historians.

Yet his story ends in a rather surprising and anti-climactic fashion. We learn more.
